Care instructions
Built to be worn.
Looked after well.
Lasts indefinitely.
The paint on your pair is flexible, permanent, and sealed. It's not fragile. These instructions aren't warnings — they're the same things you'd do for any quality sneaker, with a few specifics for the painted surfaces.
We use professional-grade flexible paints designed specifically for footwear — not standard acrylic. Applied in multiple layers, heat-set, and sealed. The paint moves with the shoe, won't crack through regular wear, and is water-resistant once cured.
01
Cleaning
Post-wear cleaning keeps the paint looking sharp. Keep it simple — the painted surfaces need less intervention than you might think.
Damp cloth, soft brush
After wear, wipe down with a soft, damp cloth. For dirt in textured areas, use a soft-bristle brush. Don't press hard on painted surfaces — light strokes are enough.
Dirt repellent spray
Apply a sneaker dirt repellent spray before first wear and after cleaning. This builds a protective layer on the surface and reduces how much cleaning the painted areas need. Use a spray designed for leather or coated surfaces.
No harsh chemicals
Avoid acetone, alcohol-based cleaners, and strong detergents directly on painted areas. They won't dissolve the paint immediately, but repeated use will dull the finish. Use sneaker-specific cleaning solutions on the rest of the shoe.
02
Wearing Your Pair
Your pair is built to be worn. The paint is flexible and won't crack through regular use. A few habits protect the silhouette and the painted surfaces over time.
Use crease protectors
Crease protectors in the toe box reduce flex stress on painted surfaces at the vamp. Especially recommended for Air Force 1s, Jordan 1s, and other leather silhouettes with large flat panels. Doesn't affect wearability.
Avoid extreme conditions
The paint handles regular wear and light rain well. Avoid prolonged submersion, extreme heat (leaving the pair in direct sun for hours), or abrasive surfaces that would damage any quality sneaker. Common sense applies.
No machine washing
Never machine wash. The agitation and heat will stress both the paint and the shoe's construction. Hand clean only — same as you'd treat any quality leather or canvas sneaker.
03
Storage
How you store your pair between wears matters as much as how you clean it.
Shoe bag or sneaker box
Store in a shoe bag or the original box when not in use. This keeps dust off the painted surfaces and protects the shape. A sneaker display case works well if you're not wearing them regularly.
Away from heat and direct sunlight
Store away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and high humidity. Prolonged UV exposure can fade pigments over time — same as it would with any coloured material. A cool, dry shelf or box is ideal.
