MATCHA AF1
We started with the colours in the drink: matcha green, strawberry pink and a soft oat base. The rest was about keeping it light.
02 / THE STARTING POINT
THE DRINK SET
THE PALETTE.
Strawberry matcha already had the contrast we needed: soft pink, muted green and the creaminess of milk. We used those three cues to build the shoe.
04 / DESIGN DECISIONS
A FEW DETAILS
WERE ENOUGH.
The whisk became the main motif. We added tiny green speckles, a strawberry and a matcha leaf at the front, and kept everything else restrained.
05 / THE MAKING
COLOUR FIRST.
DETAILS AFTER.
We painted the colour blocks first, added the speckles by hand, then finished the smaller details — the whisk, strawberry and matcha leaf.
